I grew up in southern Germany, where I began performing during my teenage years in local bars. After graduating from high school, I moved to the United States to attend Berklee College of Music, graduating with highest honors. Following my studies, I began touring with Broadway musicals. During my time on the road, I consistently engaged in remote recording projects for a diverse range of artists, inspiring me to establish my own home studio in Manhattan.
Now based in New York City, I continue to work as a performing and session musician, engineer, and producer, collaborating both in my project studio and at studios and stages across the city. Whether in the recording studio, the classroom, on stage, or in the orchestra pit, I am always looking to play great music with great people.

Electric Guitar: James Tyler - The Black Classic
My number one electric guitar, from James Tyler's California guitar workshop. This is an SSH "fat" Stratocaster with custom pickups, with slight modifications by myself. The body is made from alder and the neck is quarter-sawn maple with an Indian Rosewood fretboard. Noiseless custom pickups deliver a wide range of gorgeous tones. The floating tremolo allows me to play everything from Jeff Beck-style vibrato to full on dive bombs without affecting tuning. To me this is the perfect studio guitar, and it remains the greatest electric guitar I have ever played.
Recording Gear:
Microphones: Bock 187, 2x Neumann KM 184, 2x Lewitt LCT 140, 2x Shure SM57

Compressor: Audioscape LA2A
Interface: RME UFX II
Speakers: Genelec 8030C Mains & Genelec 7050C Sub
DAW: Cubase Pro 14 , Logic Pro, ProTools Studio

Acoustic Guitar: Tanglewood - Heritage 1000
My favorite steel-string acoustic guitar for the last 15 years. Balanced, delicate, and beautifully sounding. The dreadnought-style body has a very thin spruce top and rosewood back and sides, for great projection and dynamic range, and a lush, sweet tone. I frequently play this live and in the studio.
Amplifier: Friedman - Runt
To me this is one of those perfect session amplifiers. It plays very nicely after any pedalboard and can deliver amazing clean and crunchy sounds. I even created an Impulse Response of my Friedman which I constantly use on my NeuralDSP QuadCortex.
Pedalboard:
NeuralDSP QuadCortex, JHS Andy Timmons. JHS Morning Glory, Strymon Zelzah, Keeley Hydra, Wampler Ego Compressor, Earthquaker Devices Plumes, LPD Offset.
Auxiliary:
Northfield Calhoun Mandolin, Deering Goodtime 6-string Banjo with Kavanjo Pickup, Paco Castillo Nylon String Guitar.
